Road-trip playlists #1

As many of you music junkies are travelling right now, this is the perfect time to present to you a little top 5 list of the best road and travelling songs that ever existed. These five pieces of art will make your trip far more exciting, they will magically make everything better. Whether if it’s the wind going through your hair, or the vibration of the engine of your car as the road stretches out in front of you while you’re having fun before even reaching your destination.

So fasten your seat belts, start your engine and press play.

Number 5:  Canned Heat – On The Road Again

If this is the first time you travel in the rain and snow, so does he. Incredibly badass harmonica and wicked vocals as well.

Number 4:  Red Hot Chili Peppers – Road Trippin’

Just in case if you’re reading this at home and not travelling, this one could actually make you unconsciously start packing. You never know, man. You never know..

Number 3:  Radio Moscow – 250 Miles

Not many of you are gonna recognize this one, and no Radio Moscow are not a Russian band, they’re a bunch of dudes from Iowa, USA. They play psychedelic rock. Definitely worth checking out.

Number 2:  Led Zeppelin – Ramble On

I don’t think I need to introduce this one, or else I would be really disappointed in you.

Number 1:  Iggy Pop – The Passenger

Okay why this one exactly? Hmm, I don’t really have a particular answer, but all I can tell you is that this beauty has been stuck in my head for years and it doesn’t look like it’s getting out soon.  It looks as if the trip is missing something, until I play it. I don’t usually have a « number one » song for something, but I’m gonna have to say that this is the one.
